Glory To God!

Well a month in. It doesn't feel that way but thats the way time flows, it just gets away from you. But hey take heart its busy but it will be over in an instant.

Last week we saw 12 people out for Ben's talk with interesting insightful debate on Transfiguration of man. For those who missed it, Our goal is deification, coming closer to that fire and shining with it like a sword in the forge. The closer we get to the Christ, the closre we are to Christ. (who knows, we may be the only Christ someone ever sees on this earth!) Also 3 people for an amazing akathist, amazing finding God's glory in everything but we are called to "give thanks always" Thes.

This week OCt 2 we have minigolf,

So here are the details of Mini Golf. We will meet at 5:00 pm at Group
Space as usual and provide rides for anyone who needs them. We are
going to play mini-golf at the Putt'N Bounce course which is located at
1206 Arlington Avenue. (behind Fudruckers). This will occur on Tuesday October 2nd. It
costs $6.50 for each person to play. Directions: head down Preston
towards 8th street and turn left on 8th street. Keep heading east down
8th street until you pass Goodwin and Harris Avenue. Arlington should
be the next street after Harris Avenue. Turn right onto Arlington and
head down until you find 1206. See yall there.

Next week OCT 9 we have Subdeacon James Davis, an amazing man and friend of mine. From drug addict to God filled photographer and Subdeacon in the church, Subdeacon James has traveled that tough road to Him. Subdeacon James will lead is in a reflection on Prayer. "Is it a Routine Ritual? A Formal Mind Game That Leads to Oblivion? or a Life Giving Connection?" I really look forward to this, but we will see.
